Core System Principles

Immutable Ledger

Once a payment is logged, it cannot be deleted or modified. Errors must be corrected via an official Manager Override, which appends a new, indelible row to the audit log.

Offline Resilience

The system features a Local Area Network (LAN) Fallback. If cloud internet drops, the system caches transactions locally and dispatches hardware commands over the hotel's Wi-Fi.

One-Way Outbound API

Implementation FAQ

Do I need to change my existing door locks?

Not necessarily. If you already have electronic hotel locks (RFID/Keycard), our IoT gateway usually integrates directly with them. We only recommend replacing locks if yours are purely mechanical or outdated.

What happens if the hotel's internet goes down?

The system switches to Local Mode. The hotel's local network continues to handle room activations and check-ins. All data is cached and automatically synchronized to the cloud once connectivity is restored.

Does it work when the national grid goes off?

Yes. The core StayNaija hardware operates on a low-power loop backed by dedicated inverters. Even during extended grid outages, your smart switches, verification systems, and door locks remain 100% operational.
